In Mexico acellular pentavalent vaccine was introduced into the national immunization program in 2007 to improve vaccination compliance and impact on the epidemiology of the diseases they prevent. The aim of this study was to analyze the behavior of thediseases involved in the change before and after the introduction of the vaccinein Mexico. Methods
By analyzing the mortality database of the National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics, as well as records of morbimortality in cube format Dynamic Health Secretary, in children under 5 years and the basis for the National Immunization Program of 2005 to 2009, to recover the coverage figures. Results
Vaccination coverage in children under one year have a tendency to improve in the last 2 years. Between 2008 and 2009 increased 4.2% pentavalent acellular coverage rates. To flaccid paralysis trend in the number of cases has remained virtually linear since 2004, with insignificant variations. Coqueluchoide syndrome and pertussis maintain a downward trend. Hepatitis B has presented a decrease in the rate of 19.4%, with an average annual reduction of 7%. While diseases such as diphtheria, tetanus and Haemophilus influenzae produced by, maintaining a downward trend, with a decrease in incidence. Conclusions
